The winners are...
Aaron Everingham for 9.5 Theses on Martin Luther Against the Self-Indulgences of the Modern Church by Carl Trueman
Thanks to all who entered! The winners' prizes will be winging their way to them in the post very soon.
All Hallows Eve, 495 years ago was a very special day: Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-Five Theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg. That spark ignited a flame that was to spread throughout Europe and across the world – the Reformation flame.
From the 2003 film 'Luther' - a must watch this Reformation Day!
So that makes the 31st October Reformation Day! Let’s celebrate in the time-honoured tradition of competition. No, not dooking for apples (‘bobbing’ for all you Yanks), or trying to eat treacle scones hanging on a string blindfolded with your arms behind your back (tough one that), or seeing who can wrap their friend up in the most toilet roll before the end of the Ghostbusters Theme.
Though not quite so messy, our competition is beautifully simple:
Supply us with the best blog post or web link that celebrates the work of God through the Reformation, and you’ll win one of two free copies of Mike Reeves' The Unquenchable Flame: Introducing the Reformation, and The Cross by Andrew Sach and Steve Jeffery, courtesy of the wonderful 10ofthose.com!
The winners will be announced on Friday 2nd November.
